About Stephen Moore Stephen Moore served as senior economic advisor to Donald Trump on his 2016 presidential campaign where he helped write the Trump tax plan and worked on energy and budget issues for candidate Trump. He later served in 2020 as a member of the Trump economic recovery task force during the coronavirus pandemic. He is a co-founder and president of the Committee to Unleash Prosperity. He also serves as an economic advisor for FreedomWorks, the nation’s foremost grassroots free-market advocacy organization, From 2015-17 he served as chief economist at the Heritage Foundation.
